OLIVIA JONES
Olivia: A Brief Introduction
(November 2015) Asked to produce a two minute video to introduce myself, I wrote, shot, narrated, edited and produced this video. The sole rule for the video was that I was restricted from showing any video of myself.
In Tents Love
(September 2016) One of my first projects at Belmont University. We were tasked with creating a short film without dialog, using only the cameras provided to us.
Bernie Sanders Promo
(December 2015) I researched, compiled, and produced this 60-second video spot as part of an in-class assignment. We each drew a candidate out of a hat; this is no indication of my political affiliation.
Being Southern: Heatherly Wakefield
(July 2015) Upon receiving a full scholarship to attend Mercer University's Journalism/Filmmaking camp based off of my previous work, I spent a week producing this interview. My group was assigned a Macon local to interview on what being southern meant to her.
Social Media Case Study
(March 2016) This project explores social media's effects on society and how those effects manifest differently across age groups.
Snow
(January 2015) A loosely structured film following a girl recently awoken from a dream.
Evocations
(August 2016) For Film History, a group of students and I were tasked with creating a short video to showcase the rise and fall of emotions and how each emotion plays across a character's face. This was created in conjunction with the study of German Expressionism. Our group was given 20 minutes to complete this video.
The Art of Sound
(September 2016) For Film History, a group of students and I were tasked with creating a short video that relies on and uses sound in a unique way. Our group was given 20 minutes to complete this video.
Chloe
(April 2013) An intro video I made to a model short.
Sourire
(April 2013) A "video headshot" of sorts for my friend, an aspiring actress.
Selected Filmreel
Clips from 2012-2016.
Morning Show Appearances
I've worked on my school's morning show since my freshman year. Below are two clips of me as a co-anchor on the show. When I'm not on air, I write the script, operate the camera, or work the soundboard/graphics.
